Our history1921James Bros was founded in 1921 by brothers Jack and David James, who were ship boilermakers with Thornycroft, Southampton. 1930sBack then, James Bros specialised in fabricating boilers, hoppers, bunkers, decks and steel piling for Poole Harbour Commissioners. They then gradually moved into structures in the late 1930s. 1960s-1970sBy the late 1960s James Bros were one of the south coast's major suppliers of agricultural buildings, rising to a peak in the early 1970's of approximately five buildings per week being supplied to farms all over the southern counties. CurrentThe company's interest in commercial and industrial buildings has moved from strength to strength - from simple beam structures to projects of over 1,000 tonnes. In June 2006, James Bros (Hamworthy) Limited underwent a successful management buy-out with Steve Dyke, Mike Pryke and John Charles leading the management team.
